Ecuador is a masterclass in contrasts—volcanoes and cloud forest, ancient culture and wild frontier. Trace cobbled streets through Quito’s colonial heart, then retreat to an Andean hacienda where fine wine and sweeping vistas await. Drift down Amazon waterways beneath a curtain of green, alive with birdcall and howler monkey cries. Then set your sights on the Galápagos, where evolution comes to life—snorkel with sea lions, stroll past sunbathing iguanas, and watch giant tortoises roam free. A place of deep wonder and quiet luxury, Ecuador and the Galapagos invite you to go far and go deep.

Trip Inspiration

Galapagos by Sea

The best way to explore the Galapagos Islands? By yacht, naturally. Sail to the far-flung western reaches of the Galápagos for a journey through one of its wildest and most biodiverse corners. Step ashore at Tagus Cove on Isabela Island, where volcanic cliffs rise dramatically from the sea and the coastline buzzes with life: blue-footed boobies, Galápagos penguins, and flightless cormorants. Wander through the coastline, spotting yellow warblers in the brush or watching a Galápagos hawk circle overhead. Then continue to the shores of Urbina Bay, where tectonic forces have lifted ancient coral beds high above the tide. Hike among giant tortoises and land iguanas, with Alcedo Volcano commanding the skyline. Cap it off with a snorkel through rich coastal waters, where sea turtles glide and marine iguanas dart past—maybe even a penguin will join you.
