Newfoundland is shaped by sea, story and time. Follow in the wake of Vikings and settlers, drawn by cod-rich waters and windswept shores. Sip molasses-tinged Screech, sway to Gaelic rhythms at lively “kitchen parties” and feel centuries of seafaring spirit in every note. Drift past towering icebergs, spot whales breaching in wild blue and stand on some of the oldest stones on Earth. And when the day ends, wind down in places like Fogo Island Inn—part sanctuary, part work of art and fully unforgettable.

Dane found all the best of Newfoundland.

If we wanted to see an iceberg, Dane found an iceberg. If we wanted to see a moose, Dane found a moose. We asked to see puffins and poof, there was a colony of puffins. Interested in caribou? There were 3 of them. The tour of the crab factory was amazing. Dane found all the best of Newfoundland.

One of my favourite trips I've planned.

One of my favourite trips I've planned was a walking trip for a family in Newfoundland. They were pretty intrepid folks and I was able to design a dream trip—complete with world-class hiking, ocean excursions, wonderful mom n’ pop restaurants and the otherworldly Fogo Island Inn.

Most walks range from easy to moderate with minimal elevation gain; however, sturdy hiking boots or waterproof shoes are recommended, as trails can become boggy—especially in spring.
