Bordeaux to Dordogne Biking

Scheduled trips are expertly curated itineraries with pre-selected dates that anyone can join, capped at 16 people for an intimate experience.

Follow the Legendary Road

In all our years, we've sampled few pairings finer than Bordeaux, land of legendary wine with equally lauded biking, and the Dordogne — verdant capital of foie gras. Explore the endless underground galleries of Rouffignac to discover 13,000-year-old prehistoric art. Ride right into the heart of Saint-Émilion, and through the lush countryside of Dordogne. Taste the very best of the region at private wine-making and Château tastings.

Please note the hotel lineup for our Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 29 & Oct. 6 2025 departures: Chateau Grand Barrail, Chartreuse du Bignac, Vieux Logis

DAY 1

From Bordeaux, head south to the vineyards of Entre Deaux Mers to set off on a rails-to-trails bike path toward a château lunch. Continue riding through the picturesque village of St Émilion. Tonight, we will be hosted at Classified Saint Émilion Grand Cru Bordeaux wine estate for dinner.

Level 3

Our average bike ride is 53 km, with the option one day to do a 102 km Century Ride. Our ride in the Entre Deux Mers lets you warm up your legs, as the topography is flat or very gently rolling. The Dordogne’s terrain means that each day involves a few challenging hills—but the climbs and descents are either short or gradual, ranging between 163m and 889m. Most roads are very quiet, with a few busier sections in towns.
