A spectacular alpine hideaway

The Dolomites' stunning peaks have drawn mountaineers for centuries, yet they remain one of Italy's best-kept secrets. On this trip, you’ll explore two breathtaking corners of this remarkable mountain range: the Alpe di Siusi and Alta Badia. Begin in the Alpe di Siusi, a high alpine plateau surrounded by the South Tyrolean Dolomite Mountains, offers sweeping views over the quaint villages and trails that wind through larch forests and alpine meadows. Venture into Alta Badia, a captivating valley set amidst towering peaks, where the Ladin culture thrives, and rich traditions meet awe-inspiring landscapes. You’ll experience diverse hikes, ranging from tranquil lake paths to exhilarating ridge trails, savour locally sourced cuisine, relax in luxurious accommodations and unwind in soothing spas after each invigorating day in the mountains.

Level 4

This hiking trip covers a variety of terrain that at times is challenging. Paths are hard-packed dirt trails and daily distances average 5 to 13 km, with some options for less (or more) challenging hikes. Some days will involve short vehicle transfers and while many days include chairlifts and gondolas to assist with ascents and descents, be prepared for plenty of ups and downs. Hiking boots (light to medium weight) with sturdy ankle support and strong grips are highly recommended. Please note that van support is very limited on this trip due to the lack of access vehicles have to the trails.
