This morning after breakfast, we say adios to Peru.  For those with flights home or beyond today, transport to the Cusco airport will be provided.

Daily walks range between 3 to 11 km (1.85 to 6.85 mi.), on cobbled city streets, grassy terraced hillsides and the winding footpaths of the Inca Trail. We travel through the Sacred Valley at altitudes between 2,100 and 3,700 m (6900 to 12000 ft). Apart from the challenging walk up to Machu Picchu, the trip is moderate. You may find, however, that the altitude requires more effort than at lower elevations. Expect some uneven stairs on our hikes in the ruins as well as some sheer drop offs in places.

Butterfield & Robinson will provide you with a pick-up service from the airport to your hotel upon arrival in Cusco, provided that you send us your flight arrival information well ahead of your scheduled trip date. Explore Puglia's sun-soaked shores, sophisticated towns and abundant olive groves, then indulge in the cucina rustica after a superb seaside ride.

Your trip will end at the main train station in St. Pierre des Corps in time for the direct 10:39am train to Paris Montparnasse. Most flights from Paris to North America depart in the late morning or early afternoon; therefore it will be difficult (though not impossible) to fly home that day. We recommend spending at least one night in Paris unless you are disposed to catch an earlier train on your own. Those who need to go to CDG airport can take the 10:54am train arriving at CDG airport at 1:04pm. Those who need to get to the airport earlier than 1pm will have to arrange a separate transfer at their own expense.

Most of the riding on this trip is level with gentle grades, but be aware that the Loire Valley is not flat, there are several longer climbs. The daily distances average 45 km (28 mi.). There are three layover days, which allow for some shorter routes and, for avid cyclists, longer options.

Our first three days of biking are on rolling coastal and flat interior roads winding through olive groves. Our last two days are along rolling terrain through vineyards and groves. Daily distances range from 46 to 80 km (29 to 50 mi.).

Following an ancient route, we will pedal the rolling hills of Prosecco from Marostica to Conegliano and onto timeless Venice, where the trip culminates in the famously renowned city of canals. En route, we’ll make a foray into Valdobbiadene and perfectly preserved medieval Bassano del Grappa, the region home to radicchio, asparagus, risotto and tiramisu. In this region, the culinary adventures are as extraordinary as the scenery!

Nowhere does the slowing down feel more apropos than Piemonte, the birthplace of Slow Food, where epicurean delights await around every corner and verdant vineyards abound. We pair our meals with many of the best vintages (on us, natch), then kick back at the intimate and gorgeous La Villa.

Riding in Rioja is a sensory experience. Your eyes won’t believe the vineyard-covered hills of neighbouring Ribera del Duero. Your body won’t believe the comfort of the 5-star Abadia Retuerta Le Domaine Hotel. Your taste buds will never tire of the tapas, pintxos, and barbecued meats—not to mention the world-famous wine. The first portion of this trip alternates between relatively flat routes and some hilly rides. Distances range from 27 to 44 km (17 to 27 mi) with options every day, including the Century Ride of 100 km. In general we follow narrow, quiet roads through vineyards, farmland, forests and charming towns. Burgundy has been credited with having the best biking, not just in France, but the world.

We'll drop you off at the Dijon train station in time for the mid-morning TGV to Paris. Most flights to North America from Paris depart in the late morning or early afternoon making it difficult, though not impossible, to make a same-day connection. We therefore recommend staying the night in Paris.

There's much to see in Ireland's west—and more to taste than you might think: from frothy Guinness and fresh mussels to tender lamb and wild-caught salmon.

We will drop you off back in Galway, where trains for Dublin and rental cars are available. Note that the time is subject to change, depending upon the train schedule to Dublin. Your guides can also help you to arrange direct transfers to Dublin or Shannon airports.

The terrain is generally rolling, with rare flat sections. That said, the climbs and descents are generally neither long nor steep. Daily distances average around 41 km (25.5 mi.), with several challenging longer options available.

Adventure extends beyond borders

Tilting at windmills? Hardly. See the coast that inspired the Dutch Masters, then taste the culinary magic of the three-star Manoir Inter Scaldes.

After breakfast, your B&R guides will say goodbye to you. They will be happy of course to assist with your further travel plans and help organize transfers to Amsterdam, Bruges, Gent, Antwerp or Brussels.

We bike along truly flat bike paths and quiet country roads. Although the routes are flat, we may encounter headwinds on some days. Average daily distance is 45 km (28 miles).

We'll meet in the lobby of Hotel Pulitzer and take a short drive directly into the heart of the bulb fields, where we’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how the flowers are grown before meeting our bikes. It’s a short easy ride to the main floral attraction: Keukenhof Gardens, where seven million flowers are on display! Please be dressed to ride this morning and bring with you anything you might need for the day (camera, sunglasses, raincoat, etc.) as your luggage will go directly to The Hague. Delve into Dali’s backyard: ride rolling volcanic hills dwarfed by the Pyrenees, explore time-stamped villages and feast on molecular cuisine.

We will arrange onward travel to the train station or the airport. We recommend spending time in this magnificent city either before or after your B&R trip.

The riding is varied with the majority of terrain being rolling hills and flat stretches on quiet country roads. There will be a couple of challenging climbs that can be conquered at your own pace (and perhaps even enjoyed, as they bring us to more amazing vistas!) In order to avoid some of the busier roads, our routes sometimes include unpaved gravel and dirt roads. The days’ distances range from 25 to 52 km (15.5 to 33 mi.), with options for more every day.

Bustling souks, breathtaking Berber camps, crumbling Kasbahs and camel rides over the silky Sahara: no, this isn't a mirage—it's a dream come true.

The trip will end after breakfast in Marrakech. Your guides can help arrange transportation to the airport, if needed. We recommend staying another day in Marrakech after the trip has finished.

Daily biking distances usually vary from 20 to 50 km (12 to 30 mi.), with options on some days as far as 62 km (40 mi.). The terrain is generally flat, with a few hills along the way when we’re closer to the High Atlas Mountains. The difficulty of the ride often depends on which way the wind is blowing. The walking routes are mostly flat, except for our day in the Atlas Mountains.

This walking trip covers a variety of terrain that at times is challenging. The landscape can be quite mountainous, so be prepared for plenty of ups and downs. Nature's Way

This morning we will take a 1 hour transfer to Brasov, and then continue to Bucharest together, arriving back to the city centre early afternoon. You can choose to fly out of Brasov or Bucharest, please be sure to let us know your flight details.

The riding in Romania is generally moderate, with sections along valley floors linked by the occasional climb. Limited long options are also available.

The riding varies, with all varieties of uphill and down (and even—VERY occasionally—a hint of flat). Roads are delightfully quiet, although with the occasional short rough patch. If you complete the full option daily rather than taking advantage of van shuttles, the trip would be rated avid: e-bikes are highly recommended for anyone not in love with challenging hill climbs.

Our average bike ride is 53 km, with the option one day to do a 102 km Century Ride. Our ride in the Entre Deux Mers lets you warm up your legs, as the topography is flat or very gently rolling. The Dordogne’s terrain means that each day involves a few challenging hills—but the climbs and descents are either short or gradual, ranging between 163m and 889m. Most roads are very quiet, with a few busier sections in towns.

This trip is appropriate for travellers who take long walks three times a week and don’t mind a little sweat. It involves navigating steep, rocky terrain with no flat walks. You should be sure-footed, comfortable with uphill and downhill trekking, and prepared for several hours on rugged ground. Closed walking shoes are essential.

We will depart as a group from the Vik hotel at 3pm, arriving to the Santiago International Airport at 5pm for your flight home, and then continuing on to downtown Santiago if you are extending your stay in Chile. The daily bike rides will average roughly 45 km (28 mi.) on good quality, paved roads with shorter options available for each ride.

This trip is rated Recreational. Daily biking distances usually vary from 35 to 50km (19 to 31 mi.), with options on some days as far as 66 km (40 mi.). The terrain is generally flat, with a few hills along the way in the Ostuni area and along the coast. The difficulty of the ride often depends on which way the wind is blowing.

The riding varies, with a few hills here and there but also plenty of flat/downhill. Roads are delightfully quiet, although with the occasional short rough patch. Both hybrid and road bikes are perfectly suitable for this trip’s terrain and roads.

This hiking trip covers a variety of terrain that at times is challenging. Paths are mostly hard-packed dirt trails, however there are some rocky paths with a mix of ascents and descents. Our aim is to provide you with an exceptional experience with maximum attention to your safety and comfort. Your first day’s orientation briefing will review plans for each day, provide alternative routes and assess upcoming weather patterns. As a guide will join you mid-trip, it gives you the opportunity to go over plans again and if necessary, alter the itinerary to suit your capabilities.

This trip is rated Enthusiast, meaning it’s appropriate for travellers who bike about once a week at home. Our daily rides are between 18 and 45 km (11-28 mi.) over quite rolling terrain, with occasional long climbs and shorter and longer options possible daily.

This trip is rated Enthusiast. Walk mostly on gently rolling terrain, although you'll tackle the occasional steep climb or descent. As the terrain is often rocky, footwear with good ankle support is essential. On average, you will walk 7-15 km (4-10 mi) each day. The option to call a taxi to make the walks shorter is always an option.

Your B&R Local Host will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 2:00 PM , to distribute materials, deliver an overview of the week, and give a safety talk, as well as impart general advice on the region. Consider having lunch in the charming village of Gordes beforehand as your hotel is centrally located in the town center so you can get started on your walk right away!

Taste the divine new wines born from its slopes before basking in Baroque Noto, the "Ingenious City." Then marvel at Mount Etna's volcanic beauty.

We will offer two dropoff transfers: one to Catania airport for outbound travel, the other to nearby Taormina to extend your stay in Sicily.

Our walking is somewhat hilly with a few steep sections, and a few flat ones. For the most part, we stay on the dirt paths that run through the vineyards, countryside and along the coast, but we occasionally take quiet asphalt roads. The walking on Etna is exposed with some loose gravel. The daily distances range from 7 to 13.5 km (4.3 to 8.3 mi.) with van support or shorter options for when you’re ready to relax back at the hotel.

This trip is rated Avid, meaning it’s appropriate for travellers who walk regularly and enjoy the feeling of achievement after a good hike. The more challenging options are lead by a local naturalist who will present options in order to find the best match for your interest and ability. Some walks are on narrow footpaths and along mountainsides, while others follow well-surfaced stone paths. A light hiking boot is advised for hikes along the Monte Lattari paths. Please note that vehicle support is limited on this trip due to the inaccessibility of trails and island paths.
